Dr. Karishma Patel is a podiatrist at University Podiatry Group. She helps patients with foot and ankle problems using careful, medical care in a simple and clear way.
Dr. Patel is originally from Los Angeles. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of California, Riverside. After her undergraduate studies, she continued her education in podiatric medicine. She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine.
After finishing medical school, Dr. Patel returned to Los Angeles to complete her surgical residency at UCLA. Her training lasted three years and gave her strong experience in foot and ankle care. During her residency, she also trained at several well-known medical centers. These include the West Los Angeles VA Hospital, Olive-View UCLA Medical Center, Kaiser Woodland Hills, and Kaiser West Los Angeles.
Through this training, she gained hands-on experience in treating many foot and ankle conditions. She now continues her work with UCLA as a physician while also caring for patients at University Podiatry Group.
Dr. Patel focuses on many areas of podiatric medicine. Her main interests include diabetic limb salvage, sports injuries, foot and ankle trauma, bunions, hammertoes, and biomechanics. She works to help patients reduce pain, improve movement, and avoid future problems.
Her goal is to provide clear explanations and effective treatment plans so patients understand their condition and feel comfortable with their care.
