Dr. Ivanna L. Kenwood is a skilled podiatrist at University Podiatry Group. She sees patients at the UCLA Westwood and UCLA Santa Monica offices. She cares for people with foot and ankle problems and focuses on safe & effective treatment.
She completed her Bachelor of Science degree at UCLA and is glad to return to her alma mater as a physician. She then earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University.
After medical school, Dr. Kenwood completed a three-year residency in podiatric medicine and surgery. She also received special training in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. Her residency was at White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles. She worked with the Center for Limb Preservation and Advanced Wound Care. This helped her gain strong skills in treating serious foot conditions and wounds.
She also trained at well-known centers, including USC Keck Medical Center in orthopedics and plastic surgery, and Kaiser Permanente. This gave her broad experience in both surgical and non-surgical care.
Dr. Kenwood treats many foot and ankle conditions. These include bunions, hammertoes, sports injuries, and foot trauma. She also helps patients with limb salvage, which focuses on saving the foot and preventing amputation. She understands how the foot moves and works, known as biomechanics, and uses this knowledge to guide treatment. She also provides custom orthotics to support proper foot function.
Dr. Kenwood believes in listening to her patients and explaining care in simple terms. She offers both conservative treatment, like orthotics and therapy, and surgical options when needed. Her goal is to reduce pain, improve movement, and help patients return to daily life with comfort.
