Dr. Robert K. Lee is a highly trained podiatrist and board-certified podiatric surgeon at University Podiatry Group. He provides expert care for many foot and ankle problems, from common pain to advanced surgical needs. His goal is to help patients move better, feel better and protect their long-term foot health.
Dr. Lee treats a wide range of podiatric conditions, including bunions, hammertoes, neuromas, tendon injuries, foot and ankle arthritis, and diabetic foot problems. He has completed more than a thousand foot and ankle surgeries, giving patients trusted care for both simple and complex conditions. He is also highly skilled in diabetic limb salvage, Charcot foot reconstruction, ankle arthroscopy, and reconstructive surgery.
Patients trust Dr. Lee because of his strong surgical experience and careful approach. He focuses on accurate diagnosis, advanced treatment and personalized care for each patient. Whether someone needs conservative treatment or surgery, Dr. Lee works to improve comfort, stability, and mobility.
Dr. Lee earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree with honors from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. He then completed a three-year surgical residency in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Northern Virginia. To further expand his expertise, he also completed a Lower Extremity Diabetic Limb Salvage Fellowship at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
In addition to patient care, Dr. Lee plays an important role in medical education. He serves as Assistant Clinical Faculty at the David Geffen-UCLA School of Medicine, where he helps train future podiatrists, residents and fellows. He has also shared his knowledge by speaking at professional seminars and conferences.
Dr. Lee currently serves as Chief of Podiatric Surgery at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center, reflecting his leadership in advanced podiatric care. Dr. Lee is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and has earned the highest level of board certification in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery, an achievement held by less than five percent of podiatrists nationwide.
